BASIC INFORMATION FOR DEER

 

 

 

Handling: Field dressing your wild game as soon as possible is key to assuring good quality meat.  Once field dressed the hind legs and body cavity should be spread open to allow the deer to chill out. If it is warm outside ice should be placed inside the cavity and between the hind legs to prevent spoiling.

 

 

Permit: All whole deer or trim brought in must have a legal permit provided when brought in.

  

 

Skinning: We accept deer with or without the hide. The price remains the same either way. If you are removing the skin please keep the deer as clean as possible.

 

 

Antlers & Capeing: Capeing is available for $20.00 or will remove the antlers for you for free.

  

 

Trim Brought In: We accept deer trim to be further processed. We ask that all trim be free of hair, blood or any other contaminants.
